Read On for Our Tips to Achieving the Perfect Blow Dry
Everyone has a list of moments they’ve never looked better.
On the top of most people’s list is that exact moment the hairstylist spun their chair around to catch a glimpse of the finished product. You probably even remember a moment of staring into the stylist’s mirror as you touched your soft, silky hair.
A few days after your hair appointment, you tried to fix your hair the same way, but you couldn’t get the blow out you once had. It seems like an impossible task.
Don’t worry, we are here to offer a look into a salon. Below are secrets on how we give you the blow dry of your dreams.
Perfect Products are Key
One of the most magical parts about a blow dry bar is looking at all of the products available. Having the right set of tools and products is crucial for a blow dry. This is why most stylists swear by certain brands and won’t stop using them without a fight.
You can see the brands we use on our showcase wall behind the counter.

Let’s talk about the brush first. We’ll grab a round brush if you’ve asked for major volume and some curl. If you’ve requested a straight and sleek style, we’ll typically lean for a flat paddle brush.
As obvious as it sounds, a great blowdryer is the most important key to an Instagram-worthy blow dry. Typically use something that’s at least 1800 watts.
The Nozzle is No Laughing Matter
Yes, that nozzle that comes with blowdryers has a very specific and important purpose. It helps direct the air exactly where they need it to go.
However, before we grab the nozzle and go crazy, we’ll do some preparation. We may put some heat protectant in your hair and volumiser products for extra ‘oomph’!
Do You Lift?
Trust us, we’ve been putting in work with those arm exercises. Whether it’s lifting a hairdryer a million times per day or lifting at the gym, it’s needed for the perfect blow dry.
We typically stand up and aim the dryer down at an angle towards your hair. The specific angle is beneficial for getting the hair to lay in the desired manner. Most of us know that when we blow dry at home, we kind of just wave around the dryer and hope for the best.
It’s also easier to get the hair to cooperate when it’s sectioned off by clips. Don’t get confused when we start parting your hair in a handful of ways. It’s for the best.
